Group Pentetheon

Corellon is the Eladrin God of beauty and the arts. He is a member of the Pentetheon, and fought in the Celestial Crusade against She Who Slumbers in Agony and the rest of the Void forces.

History[]

Like a great number of the deities of mankind, Corellon's origin is unclear. Before the calcification of time in the Treaty of Wyrms, Corellon sought out on thousands of exciting adventures, later cataloged in the holy scriptures of his church. Each of his exploits bore lessons worth teaching to generation after generation.

The Spiral Tower[]

A particularly mysterious and meaningful passage from the Adventures of Corellon involves the God scaling a humongous, spiraling tower. It is a fairly dull account, with the only redeeming suspense being the lack of telling what happened to Corellon when he arrived at the top.

When Valdryn Darkmist gifted the book to Orem, the young Eladrin was initially turned off by the boring, monotonous nature of the story. After further reading, however, he began to discover small hints at greater meaning within the passage. Since then, he has held onto the book and used it as the basis for his entire sword style.

Celestial Crusade[]

Corellon resides in the grand city Eldraleil upon the Astral Sea, around the Sea of Capricorn. He is summoned to the grand temple to Erathis to meet with the Pentetheon and discuss a final plan to deal with The Void.

Corellon is fascinated by the free-thinking required to come up with the idea, but remains cautiously optimistic. In fact, he is the first to suggest the Torqueltones must split their party, using the rationale that "[We] are talking about you collecting these extremely powerful magical items and basically bringing them to the Dark Council. The Treaty of Wyrms will only protect you for so long... Definitely only upon your arrival."

He eventually decides to back the idea and send the group on their merry way.

The Final Battle[]

Corellon was one of the four members of the Pentetheon who were present at the final battle (The Raven Queen being the only Godess absent). Sightings of Corellon by the party depicted him running between the ships dealing massive amounts of damage to the Void Monsters. He was not involved in fighting She Who Slumbers in Agony.

Post-Celestial Crusade[]

Corellon's wherabouts after the eradication of The Void are unknown, but enough is surmised from the power of his clerics that he is still alive and well. He is likely still in Eldraleil on the Astral Sea.

Doctrine[]

The clerics of Corellon hold freedom of action in their highest esteem. Their God being the ultimate free spirit, creativity and beauty are extremely important to members of the church. Oppression of any of these beliefs are considered an act of great distaste by Corellon's clerics.

Characteristics[]

Corellon is described as a free-spirit. He is a beautiful male Eladrin with long, golden hair and a friendly demeanor to his fellow Gods. The only physical trait he bears that is uncharacteristic of an Eladrin is his human eyes.

Church of The Harmonious Universe

(The Church of Corellon, The Wind-Scattered Order, The Tenders of Seeds)

Holy City: El-Dre-Leil, The City That Has Been All That Will Be

Sometimes it may seem that Corellon’s order is the most motley of the Pentatheon, however all one needs to do is interact with its members to see the common thread: creativity. The Priests of Corellon seek to foster a love of art in everyone they meet, and their definition of “Art” is appropriately broad. Song, Swordplay, Magic, Technology, Cooking; The Wind-Scattered Order always seeks to bring the next bit of enlightenment to the world.

Interaction with members of The Church of The Harmonious Universe can often be frustrating for those unaccustomed to their ways. Many see them as prying, flighty and stubborn. In reality they are curious, didactic and stubborn. ~Bao Bel-Bina[1]
